What Makes a Notarized Document Official?
A notarized document carries legal weight because it confirms the identity of the signer, verifies that they signed willingly, and helps prevent fraud. The notary’s seal and signature act as a formal witness, which is often required by law or requested by institutions for added security. Banks, courts, government agencies, and businesses rely on notarized documents to ensure authenticity and prevent disputes.
Even if a notarization isn’t legally required, having your document notarized can provide peace of mind and added credibility—especially for agreements, letters, or records that may be used in future transactions or legal matters.
At Trusted Identity Partners, we take that responsibility seriously. We treat each appointment with professionalism and confidentiality, ensuring that your documents are handled with care and accuracy from start to finish.
Be prepared to sign your documents with your notary:
Bring a valid, government issued photo ID with you when you visit for notary services.
Be sure to bring all of the documents that need to be notarized with you.
Be sure the documents are complete and ready for signature. If you need legal advice, please consult an attorney. The notary public is prohibited from helping you to prepare, complete, or understand legal documents.
Some documents may require signature witnesses in addition to notarization. Contact us prior to your visit to determine if we can provide additional signature witnesses.
What to Bring:
To complete your notarization, you must bring a valid, government-issued photo ID, such as a:
State-issued Driver’s license
State-issued identification card
U.S. military identification card
Inmate Identification Card
U.S. passport
Note: The ID must be original and current (not expired). Photos, copies, or screenshots cannot be accepted. AZ Mobile Id is acceptable.
What to Expect:
The notarization process typically takes only a few minutes. Our notary will verify your identity, ensure you understand what you're signing, and witness the signing before applying their official seal.
Please Note:
Our notaries are not attorneys and cannot provide legal advice or explain the contents of a document. If you have questions about what you're signing, we recommend speaking with a qualified legal professional before your appointment.
