Check Your Agency's Fingerprint Instructions Before Your Appointment

A few minutes of preparation can save you time and help prevent delays.

Before your fingerprint appointment, take a moment to review the instructions provided by the agency requesting your fingerprints. Different employers, licensing boards, and government agencies may have specific requirements, such as:

• Whether you need Live Scan or an FD 258 fingerprint card

• The correct reason for fingerprinting or authorization number

• A specific fingerprint card provided by the agency

• Required identification to bring with you

• Any additional paperwork that must be completed before your appointment
